WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We offer free cancellation with more than 24 hours notice - of course we'd rather you didn't as we don't want you to miss out!  In some circumstances, we may need to cancel or amend the timings or location of the ride without notice in circumstances beyond our control.  When the ride is cancelled or amended by us, then we will provide customers with either a full refund or transfer their booking to a different date.

HOW DO BIKE TOURS IN GLASGOW DIFFER FROM TRADITIONAL CITY TOURS

Bike tours provide a more intimate and interactive experience compared to traditional bus or walking tours. Cycling allows you to cover more ground efficiently, access areas not reachable by bus, and enjoy the fresh air and scenic beauty of Glasgow. Our tours are designed to create a personal connection with the city, offering insights and stories that go beyond the usual tourist paths.

ARE THERE ANY SPECIFIC TOURIST ATTRACTIONS INCLUDED IN YOUR GLASGOW CITY BIKE TOURS

Yes, our Glasgow City bike tours include a variety of famous tourist attractions such as the Riverside Museum, Kelvingrove Park, the Glasgow Cathedral, and many more. We also make it a point to show you some of the city's lesser-known sights, providing a well-rounded and comprehensive exploration of Glasgow.

 

DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN BIKE, OR ARE BIKES PROVIDED ON THE TOUR

You do not need to bring your own bike. We provide high-quality bikes as part of the tour package. Our fleet includes a range of sizes to suit all riders and also features electric bikes for those who want a little extra assistance while cycling through the city.

WHAT LEVEL OF CYCLING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR JOINING A BIKE TOUR IN GLASGOW?

Our Glasgow bike tours are designed to accommodate cyclists of all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a beginner, our guides will ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone. Safety briefings and equipment are provided to make sure all participants feel confident and secure throughout the tour

WHAT CYCLE TOURS DO YOU OFFER?

Our current tour offerings are listed on our Tours page.  We also offer a range of other tours howwever these are not currently available to book online such as a Corporate tour, a Bike and Mindfulness tour, and a Pints and Pedals tour.

WHAT IF IT IS RAINING OR BAD WEATHER?

Safety is our number one priority. If raining, we still ride - please wear appropriate clothing. If heavy, torrential rain/wind/sleet, etc and poses a danger, then we shall postpone the tour. If you cannot make the new date, a full refund will be given, but please be aware that rainfall is a common occurrence in Scotland and we do ride in the rain.

If the weather changes for the worst during the ride, I may make the call to shorten the ride to return for safety reasons.

 

CAN I USE MY BIKE?

Yes, you can use your bikes. However please ensure they are in good working order and you have prepared before our tour, eg, tires pumped up, chain lubricated, etc.  If you are bringing an E-bike, please make sure your battery is charged and all necessary checks are done before our tour.

WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE MY TOUR?

All guests will need to sign a waiver and listen to the pre-tour briefing before departure.

WHAT IF I AM RUNNING LATE?

Please aim to arrive 15 minutes early to avoid this.  We aim for all our tours to leave exactly at the scheduled time so if you are late, you may miss the tour.  If there are some legitimate reasons for being late then Gallus Pedals may be able to accommodate you on a different day, we would not however offer a refund or reduced fee.

IS THE RIDE SAFE?

We have planned our routes with safety as the top priority. We will however sometimes cycle on roads with traffic and occasionally cycle through areas with lots of pedestrians.  Customers must adhere to all instructions provided during the safety briefing and follow specific instructions given by the guide at all times during the ride. Ultimately, all customers are responsible for their safety and we will not be liable for any injuries caused to the customer during the tour, on or off the bicycle. All customers must exercise due care and diligence when cycling. By agreeing to go on the tour, customers accept there is an element of risk involved and we recommend customers have their insurance in place.

LIABILITY

You understand that participating in a cycle ride may involve risks and that you are undertaking a cycling trip with inherent dangers. You accept these risks and you will not hold ‘us' responsible for any liabilities connected to these risks. You understand that cycling helmets are available and highly recommended to be worn and securely fastened. We are not liable for any claims above the individual cost of the tour.

 

DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY

We will collect name, address, phone number, emergency contact phone number, date of birth, height, any medical conditions that we should be aware of, and payment details for our payment platform. We collect this information for payment for the tour and information relating to the size of the bicycle needed. We will not sell this information. We will keep this information for no more than 7 years and photos will be used for marketing purposes only.

You have the right to request to see information that we hold, to change that information, and to withdraw details. If you would like to remove your details from our database, please email us.
